The simplest way of installing Stable Diffusion on Windows computers is to use the Stable Diffusion UI Windows tool
Before we begin, you should be aware that Stable Diffusion is a very intensive application which requires a lot of GPU and processing power, and you should check that your computer has sufficient resources and specifications.
STEP 1: Download the installer
Download the Stable Diffusion UI Windows installer by clicking the button below:
Clicking the button will instantly download a zip file with the name stable-diffusion-ui-windows.zip from Github.

STEP 2: Extract the zip file
Note, you should extract the files to a top level folder (for example your C: drive or any other local hard drive) at the root level.
NOTE: Extracting to a top level folder avoids common problems sometimes found with Windows such as file path length limits.
STEP 3: Run the installer
Navigate to the location where you extracted your files, and double-click the Start Stable Diffusion UI.cmd file.

How to run.
Once you have finished the installation, you should open up a browser window (Chrome or Firefox is recommended, but most browsers should work just fine, really).
Now type the following into your browsers address bar (you need to type it exactly as shown below):
http://localhost:9000
It may take a few seconds for browser to connect to the Stable Diffusion application, but once done you should see the Stable Diffusion UI box:
